Shadow, or Hatha Yoga is a dynamic practice that offers preparatory squats and moving sequences to support joint mobility, bone- strengthening, digestion, and the release of muscle tension -- incrementally preparing the participant's body, breath, and energetic systems for seated asana.
Together these movements and shapes can cultivate flexibility, endurance, mental well-being, and vital energy flow.
This practice is suitable for both beginner and advanced yoga practitioners.
Helen offers a 60 minute class based on the First of the Shadow Yoga Preludes- The Bala Krama (Stepping into Strength). This standing movement sequence comprises of squatting activity, warrior/martial arts stances and sun salutations.
Each class includes a joint warm up sequence, squats, First Prelude tuition, sitting postures and yoga- asana.
Shadow Yoga is appropriate for beginners through to advanced practitioners of yoga.
All standing activity, moving sequences and seated forms can be adapted to meet the needs of each individual attending Shadow Yoga.
This yoga class is for those who are looking for a challenge for their bodies and their minds. This class is taught in the Vinyasa style but done at a quicker pace and in a heated room. Despite it being a challenging class, it will still be taught in a way that is accessible for those who are looking to expand their practice.

This is a 60-minute class where we explore and stretch the deeper connective tissues.
This class is about connecting to the deeper self and allowing the body to open in a gentle, relaxing practice. The long holds and focused practice will help you feel amazing and help release tension.

Disco Yoga classes take in elements of Vinyasa flow yoga and dynamic sequences, which encourage vitality and rejuvenation.
The class is suitable for all, from beginner yogis, you will find it a perfect level to enjoy without feeling too challenged. It had all the typical yoga poses, downward dog, cobra, tree, and child pose, to name a few, but this is a downward dog with a difference, as you are encouraged to sway your hips.
