WHAT IS SLOW FLOW YOGA?

Slow Flow Yoga is meditation in motion - a slow-paced Vinyasa yoga class with an emphasis on body movement and breath synchronicity in a deeply integrated way, allowing time for attention to detail.

Combining dynamic flows and sun salutations with yin-yoga style long-held floor poses, deep relaxation.

Build strength and balance, open the body, and cultivate the ability to be mindful - leaving one feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Open to all levels, whether you can touch your toes or not!

Class Description:

Slow flow yoga: a type of yoga that offers all the benefits of vinyasa while giving you more time to pause, adjust, and breathe. Slow flow yoga is deeply relaxing and easy for beginners to follow. It also helps you connect more deeply with your body, breath

Intensity: Low

It is about cultivating a relationship that is even better within the self. Slowing things down means there is a stronger ability to listen more carefully to the inner voice, the language of the body, and the calming of the mind.

Level Of Fitness Required:

Slow flow is great for all ages, ablitlys and those who need a slower pace and more time to explore different asanas.


What To Bring To Class:

  • A yoga mat (bring your own or hire one at the studio)
  • A water bottle (not essential but handy if you get thirsty)
  • Appropriate yoga clothes (something you can sweat and stretch in)


Further Information:

Studio access is available from 15 minutes prior to the start of each scheduled class. We suggest arriving at least 5-10 minutes prior to scheduled class time..

Yin

Clear tension and increase circulation, joint mobilisation, and flexibility with Yin.

This is a 60-minute class where we explore and stretch the deeper connective tissues. 

This class is about connecting to the deeper self and allowing the body to open in a gentle, relaxing practice. The long holds and focused practice will help you feel amazing and help release tension.

Disco

Disco Yoga classes take in elements of Vinyasa flow yoga and dynamic sequences, which encourage vitality and rejuvenation.

The class is suitable for all, from beginner yogis, you will find it a perfect level to enjoy without feeling too challenged. It had all the typical yoga poses, downward dog, cobra, tree, and child pose, to name a few, but this is a downward dog with a difference, as you are encouraged to sway your hips.

Shadow

Shadow, or Hatha Yoga is a dynamic practice that offers preparatory squats and moving sequences to support joint mobility, bone- strengthening, digestion, and the release of muscle tension -- incrementally preparing the participant's body, breath, and energetic systems for seated asana.

Together these movements and shapes can cultivate flexibility, endurance, mental well-being, and vital energy flow.

This practice is suitable for both beginner and advanced yoga practitioners.
