This yoga class is for those who are looking for a challenge for their bodies and their minds. This class is taught in the Vinyasa style but done at a quicker pace and in a heated room. Despite it being a challenging class, it will still be taught in a way that is accessible for those who are looking to expand their practice.
A powerful yoga class focused on building physical strength and core conditioning. Each session incorporates standing and balancing poses, sun salutations, and backbends, giving you a practice to build on each week.
This is a 75 min heated class and great for those who would like to take their yoga practice to the next level.
Power yoga incorporates the athleticism of Ashtanga, including lots of vinyasas (series of poses done in sequence) but gives each teacher the flexibility to teach any poses in any order, making every class different. With its emphasis on strength and flexibility.
Before you take the plunge, keep in mind that power yoga is hard work. Clear instructions are given during classes, including breathing techniques and alignment in poses. Different variations may be given for certain poses so that everyone can work to their own ability and comfort level.
Our Power Yoga classes are conducted in our heated studio practice spaces.
Studio access is available from 15 minutes prior to the start of each scheduled class.
This series follows 26 beginner hatha postures and two breathing exercises taught in a heated room - so be prepared to sweat! The series targets all-around stability and helps strengthen thighs, glutes, and back muscles, and tones the biceps and triceps muscles.
Vinyasa yoga allows for a lot of variety but will almost always include sun salutations. Expect to move from pose to pose.
Whether the class is fast or slow, will depend on the individual teacher and the particular style in which they are trained. Some classes include warm-up stretches, while others launch straight into poses..
